Nobody likes stains- but when the stain happens to be blood most of us have a small panic attack inside (okay, maybe for some of us it’s more than “small”). Unless you rinse the life out of fabric with cold water immediately you’re probably stuck with the blood stain…right?

Since I discovered Castile Soap I have found and read a thousand and one uses for it and my favorite use of all is stain removal. I LOVE to cook and never can remember to put an apron on until I have splattered my self with olive oil. Then I would hardly remember it was there until I would take it out of the wash and see it: ugh. But now, I get most of those stains out with MamaSuds Laundry Soap but those pesky grease stains, mystery stains and the dreaded blood stains no longer have me freaked out.
Case and point: My middle daughter found her way into my sewing room and dropped my rotary cutter on her foot (Mom of the Year award 🙁 ). She ran from one end of the carpeted floor of our finished basement to the other and up the stairs screaming. Once I realized she was hurt I scooped her up and ran her into the bath tub at the other end of the house. So there was quite the blood trail.
After we determined we needed to make a trip to the ER for stitches we had bloodied a washcloth, a towel, my face (I don’t know how that happened) and a LOT of carpet. The worst of it was going up the stairs. Before we left for the ER I took a bottle of MamaSuds Castile Soap and put a drop of soap on each spot know we wouldn’t get back until late and I wouldn’t be cleaning it up until the next day.
The next day I had to go to my parents’ house to get the spot cleaner machine. The roads were bad. I got stuck in their driveway. I had to wait until my dad got home to get out. Then when I got home I fell asleep putting the littlest BabySuds down for a nap. Why am I telling you this? Because it was a good 20 HOURS before I washed my carpet. TWENTY.
When I have used MamaSuds to clean my carpet (rented a carpet cleaner from the local grocery store)
I used a quarter cup of MamaSuds Laundry Soap in the giant reservoir with water. If I am using the spot cleaner I put an ounce of MamaSuds Castile Soap in the reservoir with the water (See pictures below). Something important should be pointed out. When you use MamaSuds to clean your carpet you can do so without worrying about your kids rolling around on the carpet. As you can see in the video littlest BabySuds was trying to help!
I am going to give your product a try on my living room carpet, I will let you know it comes out
