Removing Adhesive (aka gunk)

If you have kids, you will probably have at least one of your cute little monsters put stickers places where they shouldn’t be. I haven’t had one that has done that…. yet. BUT, my kid’s Nana bought my girls stickers for Valentine’s Day. Cool thing, right? Well, yes especially since they were removable. Wahoo! What a concept! She even showed me where it said “removable”. Cool. Have at it. So all three of my BabySuds put their stickers on our big Living Room window and the sliding glass door. Fun.

Then…. I thought it was high time they were removed because the sun actually came out and I could only stand looking through smeared windows for so long. I told the girls to go peel them off and…… they would not come off. Not kidding. Maybe it was too cold. Tried a few days later. Nada. I am serious when I say that I think they were more difficult than if they had been just regular stickers. Great.

Looked through my handy-dandy oil reference books and remembered that Eucalyptus was a

phenomenal adhesive remover. Wahoo! I got a wipe cloth, put some of my pure Eucalyptus oil on it and started rubbing the sticker and all around it. I left it for a few minutes (then started to do something else, which led to something else, which led to…..) and then took a pen with a cap (I bite my nails- don’t judge) on it and proceeded to peel them off significantly easier than 20 minutes earlier. Woot woot! Any pesky adhesive left behind was quickly removed by the Eucalyptus oil. I quickly washed my windows and enjoyed my sparkling windows! Until a BabySud came out of her room and licked the window. Yeah. That really happened.
