Bug Spray that works
Bug spray is a complete necessity here. Going all natural for bug spray is a pain. If it doesn’t have DEET (ahhhh!) it has a whole list of things I try to avoid. Bug spray was a product I started making a few years ago for my guinea pigs (aka my family and neighbors) and I couldn’t wait to put it on the market. We live by a creek and last year was atrociously humid and disgusting. We became “urban” chicken farmers a couple years ago and that helped tremendously, but you could hardly be outside before 11 am and after 6 pm. You would get carried off and eaten alive. Our neighborhood joked they were steroidal mosquitoes. My recipe really worked and soon the whole street was using it and my grandma told everyone about it. So, I think it’s a winner, and it sold like hot cakes last year so lots of MamaSudsers think it’s a winner too!
What’s in it?
ingredients: aqua, organic aloe vera gel juice, witch hazel, vegetable glycerin (kosher), essential oils of: lemon grass, citronella, clove bud, cinnamon, lemon, eucalyptus (radiata), and rosemary, and now geranium oil.
Each ingredient in MamaSuds Bug Spray has a special and specific use. Together this combination of ingredients helps repel mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, gnats, no-see-ums and flies.

MamaSuds LLC uses products that are naturally preserved and do not contain toxic preservatives so they tend to have a shorter shelf life than other brands. Keeping our bug spray in the refrigerator will keep it longer. But let’s be real- you aren’t going to put this stuff on the shelf!
